The Bare Bones Blog

This blog has no build step. It’s just plain html and css for the most part, with a sprinkle of javascript in the form of htmx.

The downsides are clear and immediate:

• there’s no separation of content and presentation.
• there’s a bunch of boilerplate code that is duplicated on every page.

But the benefits are also clear: simplicity! And that might just make it worth it.

The plan is to just add automations as time goes on. This is an experiment, let’s see how it goes!
